I was raised in an allopathic household growing up. My mother was always a nurse and loved her job. In fact there were several nurses, paramedic and doctor in my family. I wanted to find that same passion for what I could do. Unfortunately my search took longer than hers. I loved to help people but I never felt like I had found my spot. I received my degree in speech language pathology. During this time my sister was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. It was a mutated form and the doctors did what they could. The only thing that did get her into remission was changing her diet and doing holistic treatments. She decided that she would go back to her normal diet and the cancer came back with a vengeance. At the time I still believed that if I would eat unhealthy I would just work out harder and it would go away. This started to change my outlook. Why did this holistic treatment work? So my search began.

At first I did not realize this would end up being my career but the more I looked into it I knew this was for me. I received my Reiki Master/Teacher first. Soon after I started going to the Institute of Holistic Health Careers for further education. I am now a Registered Polarity Practitioner and will soon finish my degree in Holistic Health Practitioner. In treatments I use Polarity, Reiki, CranioSacral, Sound Healing, Energetic Foods, Matrix Energetics and Relaxation Massage. I know that each person is different and so is every plan for each person. The human body is a remarkable thing because it is the only thing that can fix itself when it is allowed too. Knowing this I work with the whole person: mind, body and spirit. We are not made up of just one thing but all of it. At the end of my sister’s life I realized how important all three of these things are. We are more than just the body and sometimes you need to look at the other factors.
